Shipping Information

First, don't ship anything to me unless I am already expecting it.  Call or email me first, and make sure I confirm I will be available to receive it.

Next, I'd recommend either UPS or FedEx, and definitely would not send anything by "media mail" (bookrate) through the USPS.  That's fine for a paperback you can replace, not for a rare book or family heirloom.

Lastly, pack the book safely.  This means enclosing it in a waterproof bag to protect it from spills or being dropped in a puddle someplace en route, adequate padding, and a heavyweight corrugated shipping container - as a minimum.  Anything you value enough to have me work on should not just be stuffed into a padded envelope.
